Nies of Sartell, Minnesota, born in Richmond, Minnesota, who passed away on October 25, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Nies and Julia Nies (Betty); his daughters, Anne and Andrea Nies; and his siblings, Joseph Nies, Michael Haffley and Barb Haffley (Silbernick).
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie K. Cheeley; his children, Jason (Kim), Shannon Nies and Tiffany Heathcote (Adam); his grandchildren, MacKenzie (Erik Skoe), Tristen, Mitiku, Genet Nies, Sophie and Jack Heathcote; and his brothers, Nick, Fred, Bob, Ralph, Steve Haffley and Sheldon Nies.
