He is survived by: his wife Rose Zierden of Sartell; his children, Kristine Grove (Cory) of Sartell and David Maidl of Champlin; his grandchildren, Kaylee and Ashlee; and his siblings, John Maidl of Sauk Rapids, Kathleen Janski (William) of Rice, Wallace Maidl of Rice, Robert Maidl (Asuncion) of Sauk Rapids, Leona Wagner of Rice, Mary Ann Maidl Yell of Sauk Rapids, Marlene Maidl of St. Cloud and Lois Ringheim Boe of St. Cloud.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (219 2nd St N, Sartell, MN 56377). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.
