He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Traut and Susan Traut (Weyer); his wife Aggie; his son-in-law Paul Mushel; and his in-laws, Wilfred "Bill" (Verda), Alvin (Betty), Marian Theisen (Urban), Marcella Piasceki (Don), Victor, Ken Smoley, Marvin (Marcy), Melvin and Valeria Jefferson (Jerome).
He is survived by: his daughters, Jackie Steckling (Bob) of Rice, Joan Mushel (Rod Stanoch) of Rice, Janelle Willard (Jim) of Circle Pines, Joyce Tillemans (Tony) of Sartell and Lynn Thene (Terry) of Sartell; and his siblings, Doreen Smoley and LeRoy Traut (Butch). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to the Quiet Oaks Hospice House.
