He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Poepping and Rose Poepping (Pflipsen); his son-in-law David Abraham; and his siblings, Roselynn Bloch, Loretta Scherer, Leona Kessler, Lu Ann Priziborowski, Walter, Edmund, Dominic, Victor and Mary.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Smolnik; his children, Cindy Abraham of Sauk Rapids and Scott (Becky) of Lonsdale; his sister Ione Tolefson of Hoyt Lakes; his grandchildren, Tiffany Forner (Ty), Mindy David (Ryan) and Austin (Jerreise); and his great grandchildren, Riley, Carter, Jackob, Isabella, Brenten, Kylie, Mike and Nancy Kuefler. He is also survived by wife of 65 years, his children and his grandchildren.
