He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wilmes and Lenore Wilmes (Kreber); and his siblings, Richard Wilmes, Mary Osgood, Margaret Kirchner and Theresa Mae Wilmes.
He is survived by: his spouse Dona Schnettler; his children, Jim (Deb), John (Vianna Myles) of Ewen, MI, Craig (Jovita Madrigal) of Modesto, CA and Janet (Tom Hafnor) of Durango, CO; his grandchildren, Ted (Anne Cowell), Katie Gotterbarn (Shaun) and Grace Wilmes; and his siblings, Patrica Voghtman, Betty Buermann (Joe) and Rosie Theisen (Rom). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Fran was devoted to his wife Dona who passed away in 2011 with Alzheimer's Disease.
