He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his brothers, Richard and Eugene; and his grandchild Andrew Lieser. He is survived by: his children, Katherine Struffert (Scott) of Foley, Laura Lieser (James) of Clearwater, Patricia Hinkemeyer (Paul) of Sauk Rapids, Julie Mattkins (Allen) of St. Joseph and Gary Schreifels (Lyn) of Sartell; his grandchildren, Dana, Ryan, Amy, Hali, Jeffrey, Scott, Keli, Larissa and Hannah; and his siblings, Ervin Schreifels of Sauk Rapids and Janet Zimmerman of St. Cloud.
