He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bettenberg and Harriet Bettenberg (Schill); and his brother Dean Bettenberg. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Waterman of Sartell; his children, Ryan Bettenberg of Rochester, Roddy Bettenberg (Jen) of Sauk Rapids and Mirla Sorenson (Ben) of Mahtomedi; his grandchildren, Chase, Carmen, Olivia and Emerly; his siblings, Durwood Bettenberg (Renee) of Sartell, Patrick Bettenberg (Sue) of Remer and Naomi (Jack Sturm) of St. Cloud; and his sister-in-law Pam Bettenberg of St. Cloud.
