It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Elaine Cole of Sartell, Minnesota, born in Claremont, Minnesota, who passed away on May 9, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Doris Elaine departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Doris Elaine may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Doris Elaine leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Lyke and Edna Lyke (Ellefson); her former spouses, Ronald Bakkedahl of Hayfield, MN and Thomas Fitzgerald of Hayfield; her husband Vernon Cole; her siblings, Shirley Strom, Erwin and William Lyke; and her daughter Tamra.

She is survived by: her son Dwayne Bakkedahl (Robyn) of Lewistown, MT. She is also survived by great grandchildren and also a great, great grandchild.
