He was predeceased by: his parents, Chauncey Moran and Alice Moran (Gilson); his daughter Colleen Schaefer; and his siblings, Leo, Gary Moran and Jean Totino.

He is survived by: his wife Mildred "Millie" Hoelscher of Sartell; his children, Rodney (Terry) of St. Michael, Wayne (Anne) of Eagan, Janet Murphy (John) of Greenville, SC and Keith (Rachel) of Victoria; and his siblings, Lois Manka of International Falls, Marie Drew of Randall, Alice Archer of Motley, Linda Paulson of Motley, Barb Moran Braith of St. Cloud and Tim Moran of Downing, WI. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
