He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard G Menke and Elizabeth M. Menke (Bentler); his wife Luella Mary Steffensmeier; and his siblings, Cecilia Buckingham, Lawrence Menke, Arnold Menke and Benita Coons.
He is survived by: his children, Bernard Menke of Sartell, Kris Menke of Sartell, Greg Menke (Mardelle) of Urbandale and Marlene Grindland (Eric) of Sartell, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Joel Menke, Trevor Grindland (Taylor) and Kia Bechtold (Tanner); his great grandchild Oliver Lane Grindland; and his siblings, Marvin Menke (Rita) of St. Paul, Edna Spiekermeier of Fort Madison and Marilyn Watznauer of West Point, Iowa.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established in his memory for St. Francis Xavier Schools in Sartell, Minnesota or Holy Trinity Schools in West Point, Iowa.
