She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Scepaniak and Constance Scepaniak (Gaida); and her sons, Allen and Scott. She is survived by: her husband Charles Katka; and her brother Stephan Scepaniak (Christine) of Waite Park. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
