He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Fasen and Eleanor Fasen (Crever); his wives, Maxine Thene and Lila Fasen (Spieker); his son Gary; his stepchildren, Philip, Laura Fasen and Mary O'Conner; and his brothers, Leo, Art, Jerome and Marvin Fasen.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen (Wendy) of Florida, Kevin (Arlene) of Spicer, Kathy Klaustermeier (Allen) of Cold Spring, Duane (Colleen) of Avon, Jenny Fasen of Willmar, Mike of Washington, Jo of Washington and Jeff (Doreen) of Washington; his stepchildren, Eileen Traut (Ralph) of Sartell, Carl (Mary) of Sartell, Ron (Shell) of Sartell, Bill (Deb) of Sartell, Jim (Yolanda) of Lincoln, Tom (Kim) of Minneapolis and Linda Pfeiffer of Virginia; his sister Doreen Knopik of Waite Park; and his sister-in-law Bunny Fasen of Monticello. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, many great grandchildren; one great great grandson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St Francis Xavier Catholic Church (219 2nd St N, Sartell, MN 56377). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Francis Xavier Parish or Masses offered in Alvin's name.
