With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mervyn Becker of Sandstone, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 30, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Becker and Madeline Becker (Markley); and his granddaughter Theresa Slama. He is survived by: his wife La Verna Becker (Hearshman); his children, Daniel M. Becker (Polly), Kathleen M. Slama (Michael), David J. Becker (Rosemarie), Jeanne M. Slama (David), Mark C. Becker (Aurea), Melvin Gibson and Kayleigh Johnson (David); and his grandchildren, Dan, Bradley Becker, Jerome Slama, Diana Ristamaki, Kristy Reville, Kevin Slama, Tanya Chrisoherson, Joanna Habdas, Brian Becker, Jeremiah, Kenneth, Jaimie Slama, Michael Rosa, Bud Gibson, Brandie Lopez, Jennifer Ron, Trisha McCasland and Tabitha Treece.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Luke's Catholic Church (118 Commercial Ave N, Sandstone, MN 55072). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
