With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Audrey Olsen of Sandstone, Minnesota, who passed away on December 6, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Kampfer and Evelyn Kampfer; her brother-in-law Wallace Olsen; her siblings, Corinne Olsen Scarcitelli and Donald Kampfer; and her stepdaughter Laurice Olsen.
She is survived by: her husband Maurice Olsen of Bruno; her sister Mary Lou Sanders (Phillip) of Stillwater, MN; her children, Laurel Knowlton (Larry) of Porter, ME, Karen Thalacker (Jim) of Montello, WI and David Brygger (Debra) of Barnes, WI; and her stepchildren, Bill Olsen (Sher) of St. Paul, MN, John Olsen of St. Paul, MN and Judy Kirkwood (John) of St. Paul, MN. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking memorials be made in Jean's name to Danforth Community Church, 57092 Wolf Creek Rd, Bruno, MN 55712 or Pine County Historical Society, 6333 HC Anderson Alle, Askov, MN 55704.
