He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Higgins and Margaret Higgins; his brothers, Mike Higgins and Alan Higgins; and his brother-in-law Jeff Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Higgins of Sandstone; his children, Charlie Higgins, Jr. of Illinois, Travis Higgins (Tammy) of Kansas and Missy Higgins (Dave Moore) of Hinckley; his grandchildren, Kayla Moelter (David), Serenity Aleckson (Austin), Savannah Buckhanan (Stephon), Tryston Neumann, Charlie Higgins III, Rianna Prettyfeather, Shayla Prettyfeather and Devyn Higgins; his great grandchildren, Carly, Isiah, Nathan, Lincoln, Dreydon, Deon, D'Angelo and Gunner; and his siblings, Kathy Nelson of Rush City, Patrick Higgins (Mary) and Ron Teeman of Rock Creek. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Memorials in Chuck's memory will be donated to the Chuck Higgins Benefit.
