It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Marie (Betty) Sorenson of Sandstone, Minnesota, born in Shields, North Dakota, who passed away on April 19, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Engel and Margret Engel (Tischmak); her siblings, Joachim, Clotilda, Sonia and Audry; and her granddaughter Janel.
She is survived by: her children, Devy Sanders of Hinckley, MN, Danette Sanders of Pine City, MN, Dawn Doten of Arizona, Doris Podlewski (Orion) of Askov, MN, Michael Sorenson of Pine City, MN and Laura Ziegler (Josh) of Bruno, MN; and her siblings, David, Evie, Vonnie, Rita, Anita and Joanie. She is also survived by seven grandsons, seven granddaughters, many great grandchildren.
