We are sad to announce that on June 12, 2020, at the age of 95, Joann A. Brown (Sanborn, Minnesota) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joann A. Brown to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugo Yackel and Elsie Yackel (Kosel); her husband Ivan Brown; her son-in-law Lenny Wersal; and her siblings, Marian Essig Gene Yackel, Donald Yackel, Leslie Yackel and Marvelle Ritchey.

She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Wersal of Nevada City, CA, Sydney Brown (Millie) of Sanborn and Julie Cook (Brian) of Sleepy Eye; and her grandchildren, Greg Wersal, Nina Sanford, Tina Kastner, Matt Brown, Sara Connelly, Caleb Brown, Becky Peterson, B. J. Cook and Drew Cook. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials be made to Sleepy Eye Care Center, Country Side Apartments, St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Sleepy Eye, Zion Lutheran Church, Sanborn or New Ulm Hospice.
