He was predeceased by: his parents, Inez Hilding and Anderson Hilding; and his siblings, Jean, Wendell and David.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Anderson of Duluth; his children, Elena, Mark (Laura), Gregory (Karen) and Jonathan (Juli); his grandchildren, Benjamin (Alicia), Stephen (Anne), Derek (Alison), Kyle, Austen, Chelsea, Jake, Kathryn, Victoria and Sam; his great grandchildren, Miriam, Joanna and Molly; his sister Cecile Swenson (Richard); and his siblings-in-law, Camillla Weinstock (Jim), Sonja, Erland Anderson (Gloria) and Fred Anderson (Sandra). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
