He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Hermel and Marie Hermel (Krieger); his wife Myra H. Johnson; his son John; and his siblings, Clifford Hermel and Oradel Mers.
He is survived by: his son David (Darcy); his grandchildren, Blake (Elsbeth), Kaila Roeder (Andrew) and Alex (MacKenzie Roesti); and his great grandchildren, Stella, Axl and Ace.
