She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thorkelson and Lena Thorkelson; her husband Jim Jacobs; her siblings, Vivian Fjelstad and Wilmar Thorkelson; and her siblings-in-law, Maxine Thorkelson and Vince Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Morton of Rochester, Steve (Bev) of Cold Spring, Joan Bowles (David) of Marshalltown and Jill Conlon (Dennis) of Janesville; her grandchildren, Kelly, Brad, Matthew, Sara, Brian, Peter, Jon, Gina, Krista, Andrew and Benjamin; her sister Mildred Johnson; and her brother-in-law Luther Fjelstad. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to PEO, Saint Peter Chapter (Philanthropic Educational Organization for Women) or to First Lutheran Church, Saint Peter.
