He is survived by: his wife Julie Peters; his son Eli Peters; his siblings, Becky Homer (Chuck), Debbie Johnson-Zuti (Rick), Mark Peters (Sandy), Pam Tollefson, Paul Peters (Vicky Seely), John Peters, Ray Peters, David Peters (Denise), Lisa Schultz (Bob), Bob Peters (Kelsie), Bekki Ziemer, Dan Schwarze (Catie), Mark Schwarze (Joyce Anderson), Duane Hand (Annette) and Colette Dragt (Steve); and his parents-in-law, Loren and Linda Schwarze. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
