It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Yoshiko Tani of Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away at the age of 101, on December 3, 2022. She was predeceased by: her husband George; and her brothers, Aiji and Hiroshi Uchiyama. She is survived by: her children, Paul (Barb), Douglas (Linnea) and Kay (Tom Winegarden); her granddaughters, Sarah (Alex), Karen (Sean), Ellen (Aaron), Jessica, Stephanie (Pierre), Autumn (Daniel) and Emily (Charlie); and her great grandchildren, Georgia, Henry, Isabelle, Sloane, Tighe, Kaito, Alex, Lilly, Maria and Maeve. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
During WWII, Executive Order 9066 (Feb 19, 1942) forced Yoshi and her family to relocate to Minidoka Relocation Camp in Idaho where she met her future husband, George.
Memorials are preferred to Centennial United Methodist Church or the Twin Cities Japanese American Citizens League.
