He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Hanson and Anna Hanson (Frang); and his siblings, Orin (Leona) and Evelyn (Earle). He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Kurt Hanson (Adrian Vandang) and Jane Tafel (Mark Tafel); his grandchildren, Adam Tafel (Linnea) and Nora Tafel; his great grandchildren, Calvin and Charles Tafel; and his nieces and nephews, Barbara Isard, Robert Fraser, Jay Snell, Mary Lee Gleason, Andy Snell and Amy Walstra.
