She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Smith and Patricia Smith (Troje); and her brother Dennis Smith. She is survived by: her husband Richard Hauwiller; her children, Jessica Rumpel (Joe), John (Coventry McKay) and Rebecca Zelgert (Chris); her grandchildren, Ethan, Abigail Rumpel, Charlotte and Lincoln Zelgert; her siblings, Sandy Enke (Rod) and Greg Smith; and her siblings-in-law, Carole Smith, Yvonne Hauwiller, Donna Webber (Rich), Chris Hauwiller, Tom Hauwiller and Mary Vinje (Keith). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
