It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Veronica Smith (Saint Paul, Minnesota), who passed away on July 16, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Diegnau and Dorothy Diegnau; and her grandson Nicholas Wivinus. She is survived by: her husband Lawrence James Smith; her brother Ronald Diegnau (Gretchen); her children, Gregory Smith (Sheryl), Timothy Smith (Robin) and Elizabeth Wivinus (David); her grandchildren, Matthew Wivinus (Jolene), Davina Bartolic (Smith), Brett Smith, Jacqueline Wivinus (Nate) and Wesley Smith; and her great grandchildren, Connor, Owen, Athena, Max, Grace, Easton and Lachlan.
Shirley started a beautiful family tradition…Every year at Christmas in lieu of exchanging gifts, we all made donations to our favorite charities! To honor this tradition, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Church of St. Matthew.
