He was predeceased by: his wife Lenore; his parents, Louis and Grace; and his brother Edgar. He is survived by: his children, James, Charles "Chuck" (Sofya), Steven Levey and Diane Roeser (Richard); and his stepgrandchildren, Louis, Lee, Mitchell, Danelle, Rebecca and Sam.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Hodroff-Epstein Memorial Chapel (671 Snelling Ave S, St Paul, MN 55116).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Alzheimer's Association in Shale's honor.
