He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mayeske and Harriett Mayeske (Wells); his brother George Mayeske; and his brother-in-law Gordon Ode. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ann Ode of Brandon; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Mayeske, Mila Ode (David), JoAnn Pressler and Dianne Mork.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the "Ode-Mayeske Scholarship Fund," at Augustana University, Sioux Falls, SD.
