He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Sperl and Marie Sperl (Cenk); his wife Mary of St. Paul, MN.; his sons, Joseph and Gerard; his son-in-law John McCormick; and his siblings, Michael and Mary Catherine Olson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Bridget Sperl, Susan Sperl, Robin Sperl and Sally Sperl; his sons-in-law, William Souder, Warren Kramer and Steve Anfang; and his brother-in-law Geoff Olson. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family requests donations in lieu of flowers to Ducks Unlimited or charity of choice.
