He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Otto and Sophia Holtz; his parents, Reuben and Bertha (Rolf); and his wife Lois Brakenhoff of Columbus, Nebraska..
He is survived by: his children, Debra, Joel, Timothy (Gladys), Michael (Katie) and Jon (Ning Ning); and his brothers, Don and Paul.
