He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ponte and O'Linda (James Perry); his brother John; his son-in-law Steven; and his grandson Daniel.
He is survived by: his brother James Perry Jr. (Patricia Kramer); his children, Victoria Barsness, Angela Ponte (Todd Bagley), Malissa Medina and David Ponte (Kat Luttrull); his grandchildren, David Schouveller, Anthony Kiritschenko, Jonathon Ponte, Amanda Ponte, Justin Kath, Samuel Ponte, Cheyenne Barsness (Thomas Gehrke), Brittney, Taylor and Sydney; and his great grandchild Michael Kiritschenko.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kessler & Maguire Funeral Home (640 7th St W, St Paul, MN 55102). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450).
