She was predeceased by: her husband Abelino Zelada Diaz. She is survived by: her children, Carla Zelada (Matthew Marshall) of Marshall and Robert (Lindsay Schwab); her grandchildren, Gabriel, Violet, Mila and Eva; and her sister Mary Ann Davis.
She was also a volunteer for Donate Life Minnesota and an advocate for organ donation, after receiving a liver transplant in 2004.
