He was predeceased by: his father Leonard Bennett, Sr.; his wife Hazel Louvenia Murray Bennett; his mother Mabel Bennett,; and his siblings, Leonard Bennett Jr. and CharlesEthel Johnson.
He is survived by: his uncles, John Wesley and Wesley; his sisters, Peggy Ann Croutch and Shirley Joyce Barnett (William); and his friend Althea Rupert. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the St. James AME Scholarship Fund, 624 Central Avenue, Saint Paul, MN 55104.
