He was predeceased by: his wife Anita (Wood); his son John Gregory, Jr.; his parents, George Burns and Ann Burns; and his siblings, Richard, Patrick and Georgia Ann.
He is survived by: his children, Anita Twaroski (Cliff), Mark (Christine Sagstetter), Hanna Younce (Mark), Dan (Rachel) and George (Shelly); his siblings, Paul, Mary Margaret and Mary Alice; his daughter-in-law Dora; and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Shetka. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, offering for memorial Masses and/or donations to the Church of St. Agnes, Little Sisters of the Poor, or Carmelite Nuns of Lake Elmo.
