She was predeceased by: her parents, George Palmen and Grace Palmen (Herb, Jr.); and her daughter Lori Haider. She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Pedersen (Fred) and Cris Ruettimann (John); her brothers, Ken (Carol), Ron (Patti) and Terry (Karen); her grandchildren, Eric (Rhianna) of Nick, TJ, Melanie (Tad), Emily (Matt), Micah and Rachel; her close friend Marlys; and also Kathy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
