He is survived by: his wife LoraEtta; his son James Jr.; his daughter-in-law Leah; his grandchildren, Jazmine, Jayden, Julian, Alisa and Quinn; and his siblings, Clara, Leobia, Thomas, Joyce, Ernestine, Bobby, Iris, Samuel, Evelyn, McClender, Murdis and Laster. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
