He was predeceased by: his parent Georgianna Wingo; and his siblings, Emma Wingo-Tendell, Bellis and James Lee Wingo. He is survived by: his children, Shawn (Erika), Billi Jean (Jimmy) and Tanya; his grandchildren, Britney, Aaron, Shaila, Shawnae, Ciara, Shawn Jr., Shamahd, Elija and Manny; his great grandchildren, Andre, Bailey, Ron Ron, Audrey, Ari, Aubrey and De'Aja; and his siblings, Maurice, Raymond, Diane (Frank), Patricia and Stephanie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
