He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Charles and Polly Marie Hovey, Sr.; his wife Jeaneen; his daughter Jeanette; and his siblings, Marion and Jackie.
He is survived by: his children, Henry Charles Hovey, III, Nanette Marie Vanderhoff (Hovey) and Michael Hovey (Margaret). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
