He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schoenthaler and Lena Schoenthaler; his siblings, Alfred, Robert and Lillian; and his siblings-in-law, Art Miller and Jan Schoenthaler.

He is survived by: his children, Eric Schoenthaler, Brian Schoenthaler (Jasmine) and Melissa Schoenthaler; his siblings, Larry Schoenthaler (Mary) and Donna Miller; and his sister-in-law Lois "Mickey" Schoenthaler. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
