He was predeceased by: his parents, George Stewart Orlemann and Phyllis Edith Hobbs Orlemann of St. Paul; his siblings, Eleanor Johnson, Edith Schoberg and John Stewart Orlemann; and his daughter Kathleen Amy Orlemann.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Marie Orlemann; his grandchildren, Beth, Glen, Isabella, Alexander and Fritz Knecht; and his children, G. Andrew, Valerie, Ellen Orlemann, Elizabeth, Philip, Emily, Ryan Jones, Amaris, Keith, Catherine, Johanna Lynip, Joy Orlemann, Todd Miner, Maria and Callan Johncox.
