He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine; and his parents, Harry Jacobs and Mary Jacobs. He is survived by: his children, William (Martha), Daniel, Mary Ann Stark (Robert) of Ely, MN, Philip of Minneapolis, Judith Richardson Roseville (Michael), Catherine McFerrin of Maplewood, Kenneth Paul (Judy) and Stephen of Mankato. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials preferred to Saint Paul Seminary or Leo Byrne Residence.
