He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Erickson and Mildred Erickson (Rask); his sister Dorothy James Johnson; his son Ross James Erickson; his siblings, Aline Melson, Marjorie Geisler, Edna Erickson and Robert Erickson; and his nephew Randall James.
He is survived by: his wife Ivadelle Erickson of St. Paul, Minnesota; his daughters, Kathryn Erickson of Plymouth and Julianne Erickson of Grand Rapids, Minnesota; his sisters, Julianne Gee of Jackson and Beth Erickson of Sherburn, Minnesota; and his siblings-in-law, Keith Weber of Mankato, Dennis Weber (Ruth), Ruth Weber of Apple Valley, Carolyn "Susie" Koenck of Indianola, Paul Weber (Virginia) of Morris and Joel Weber of Cape Coral, Florida. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
In 1990 Don and Ivy founded the Trimont Area Youth Foundation which awards two scholarship grants each year to students in the Trimont area.
