It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettye Olson (Saint Paul, Minnesota), born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on April 16, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Howard E. Olson; her parents, Irene Johnson and Emil Johnson; her daughter Virginia Olson; and her brothers, Robert Johnson of Seattle, WA and Bruce Johnson of San Diego, CA..
She is survived by: her children, Martha Olson (Rod Carlson) of Shoshone, ID, Jeff Olson (Susan Olson) of Eden Prairie, MN and Barbara Moorhead (Jim Moorhead) of Sparta, WI; her granddaughters, Elise Shaw of Hayward, WI, Laura Curry (Bryan Curry) of Missoula, MT and Anna Moorhead (David Prager) of Chicago, IL; her great grandchildren, Frances Curry, Emersyn Shaw and Amelia Curry; and her sisters-in-law, Betty Olson and Margaret Lowe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many Norwegian cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to Augsburg College Art Department, Minneapolis, MN; Holden Village, Chelan, WA; and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, St. Paul, MN.
