With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Ann McDowell of Saint Paul, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 26, 2024 at the age of 83. Though Barbara has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John G. McDowell and Helen M. McDowell (Lindberg); and her brother John A. McDowell (Hovey). She is survived by: her brother Thomas McDowell (Mary); her sister-in-law LuElla McDowell (John A.); and her nieces and nephews, Greg McDowell, Shawn McDowell (Amy), Colleen Olson (Greig), Catherine Bryngelson (Jeff) and Carol Ingelbretson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (151 1st Ave NE, Deer River, MN 56636). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
