Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Arlene Appelbaum (Saint Paul, Minnesota), who passed away at the age of 87, on December 24, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Bomberg and Alyce Bomberg; her husband Murray Appelbaum; her son Elliot Appelbaum; and her brother-in-law Bradley Appelbaum.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott Appelbaum (Kitty) of Broken Arrow, OK and Martin Appelbaum (Izzah) of João Pessoa, Brazil; her brother Frank Bomberg (Dinny); her children-in-law, Anna Cole and Rick Dykes; her sisters-in-law, Mary Baller (Bob), Laura Robertson (Gordy), Lynn Lindsoe and Elizabeth Appelbaum; her grandchildren, Allyson Appelbaum, David Jones (Erin) and Becky Jones; her great grandchild Jessica Jones; her great great grandchildren, Brianna, Jadyn, Tiana, Aliyah, Ciara and Kamiya; and her friend Christine Warren. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Temple of Aaron (616 Mississippi River Blvd, St Paul, MN 55116). A shiva was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the St. Paul JCC, Temple of Aaron, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or the donor's choice.
