She was predeceased by: her husband Ray Peabody; her parents, Justo Ruiz and Manuela Montez; her siblings, Esther Ruiz, Rebecca Parsons and Elias "Wheaties" Ruiz; and her children, David Varela, Dominic "Nicky" Varela, Florencio "Nina" Varela and Elvia Montanez.
She is survived by: her children, Rubio "Marcos" Varela, Marie "Susie" Varela, Sarah Franco, Raul Rodriguez Juanita Dahl and Esther Francois; and her siblings, Eliazar "Elkie" Ruiz, Asael "Chubs" Ruiz, Joel "Jackson" Ruiz, Abel "Chiva" Ruiz and Jonathan Ruiz. She is also survived by 80 grandchildren.
