He was predeceased by: his former wife Betty; his parents, Marcus and Anna; and his brothers, Roland and Marcus Leroy (Donna).

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his daughter Brenda Esterly (Jonathan); and his brother Kent (Marlene). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
