She was predeceased by: her husband Gene; her children, Robin and Dan; her parents, Russell Butler and Theresa Butler; and her sister Carol Storm.
She is survived by: her husband Eugene Carey; and her children, Jan Monjeau (Mel), Lynne Carey (Jeanne Jena), Tim Popp and Paula Popp (Jeff). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Dr. Daniel G. Carey Memorial Fund for Children's Cancer Research at the U of MN.
