She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Zahler and Marjorie Barthel (Dalbec); her husband Gordon R. Schumm; her stepfather Roman Barthel; and her grandson Quinn.

She is survived by: her sons, Mike, Scott, Brian (Christine) and Pat Schumm; her granddaughter Brianna; her siblings, Dan Zahler (Ruth), Barb Weber (Ronnie) and Bonnie Hines (Adam); and her siblings-in-law, Marlene Barthel and Merle Schumm (Sharon). She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
