He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Barthel and Bernadette Barthel (Vetsch); his parents-in-law, Elmer and Dorothy Beaudry (Hackenmueller); his brother Duane Barthel; his siblings-in-law, Don Beaudry and LaVonne Beaudry; and his nephew Kerry Barthel.
He is survived by: his significant other Cathy (Beaudry); his children, Kevin Barthel (Heidi), Sharon Berning (Dan), Dan Barthel (Kathy), Tony Barthel (Kris), Michelle Steele (Dave), Angela Lenneman (Brian) and Gina Barthel; and his brother Jerome Barthel (Shirley). He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM and from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (11300 Frankfort Pkwy NE, St Michael, MN 55376). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
