He is survived by: his brother Jimmy; his son Steven; his wife Nancy Backhaus; his children, Patrick Backhaus (Jaime) and Stacy Berning (Paul); and his grandchildren, Jordan (Kaija Backhaus), Blake, Brandon, Brady (Isabelle Berning) and Kaylin (Cory Backhaus). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
